The story of WATERPROOF is also the story of its founders; two brothers who grew up by the sea on the west coast of Sweden. Totally different personalities in most respects, but with the same passion. Björn Ehlmé, CEO, an inventive and creative businessman. Göran Ehlmé, head of R&D, a passionate diver who leads expeditions to the polar regions and underwater photographer for the BBC and National Geographic. To survive the harsh Nordic climate, our ancestors learned the importance of paying attention to the smallest details. They learned that their equipment had to withstand the realities of their climate. This is why at Waterproof we do our own R&D, have our own production facilities and do our own sourcing of materials. We test our products and ideas during our expeditions in Antarctica and the Arctic, as well as in other challenging places around the world. And all under the strictest quality control, to meet the toughest standards and challenges of the real world. This is our heritage and we are proud of it.
